Our government client is looking for an experienced Trainer/ Instructional Designer on a remote 12+ months contract opportunity in Nashville, TN.

# of positions: 3

Position: Trainer/ Instructional Designer Note - Job Type: Full Time Job. Potential to become permanent state employee in the future.

Expected hours: 40 per week

Benefits: Flexible schedule

Schedule: 8 hour shift

Work Location: This position is primarily remote work, however; some work outcomes will require the incumbent to report in person to a designated location.

  • Develop high-quality training curricula tailored to the department and law enforcement, including core and specialized content.
  • Perform comprehensive research on current events and industry trends to assess and define training needs.
  • Work collaboratively with training staff to establish and achieve short-term and long-term curriculum goals.
  • Ensure effective communication with team members to deliver all projects within deadlines.
  • Participate in both virtual and in-person meetings to align strategies and progress with team objectives.
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews to maintain and enhance the effectiveness of existing training materials.
  • Utilize the ACADIS/FTACS platform (agency s Learning Management System) proficiently to design, manage, and evaluate training programs and events.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in agency, criminal justice, or related field preferred, but not required.
  • Previous experience in law enforcement, corrections, or related field is highly preferred.
  • Previous experience in creating training content is highly preferred.
  • Above average proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Word, and Excel is required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and outside professionals.
  • Ability to consistently meet performance deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop training curriculum, training content, and points of instruction.
