Manager of Consulting


Summary


The Manager of Consulting is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the consulting team, driving sales growth, ensuring high-quality project delivery, and fostering the professional development of team members. Key Responsibilities:


Oversee and Drive the Team:

  • Lead and manage the consulting team, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.
  • Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and provide constructive feedback.

Drive Consultant Sales:

  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets and expand the client base.
  • Identify new business opportunities and build strong client relationships.
  • Monitor market trends and adjust sales strategies accordingly.

Develop and Execute Proposals:

  • Create comprehensive and competitive proposals tailored to client needs.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure proposals meet quality standards and client expectations.
  • Present proposals to clients and negotiate contracts effectively.

Oversee and Execute Projects:

  • Manage the end-to-end project lifecycle, from initiation to delivery.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Resolve any project-related issues promptly to maintain client satisfaction.

Quality Assurance on Projects:

  • Implement quality control measures to ensure high standards of project delivery.
  • Conduct regular reviews and provide feedback to the team to maintain quality.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for project success.

Ensure Billing is On-Time and Accurate:

  • Oversee the billing process to ensure timely and accurate invoicing.
  • Address any billing issues promptly and maintain clear communication with clients regarding payments.
  • Ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting for all projects.

Develop Consultants' Skillset:

  • Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for consultants.
  • Mentor and coach team members to enhance their skills and career growth.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practices within the team.

Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP):

  • Create and implement SOPs to ensure consistent and efficient workflows.
  • Regularly review and update SOPs to align with best practices and industry standards.
  • Identify and implement technological solutions to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
  • Develop scalable processes to support the growth and expansion of consulting services.
  • Stay updated with the latest technological advancements and integrate relevant tools into the workflow.

Other Responsibilities:


Client Relationship Management:

  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for major clients, addressing their needs and concerns effectively.

Market Analysis and Strategy:

  • Conduct market analysis to identify industry trends, competitive landscape, and potential areas for growth.
  • Develop strategic plans based on market insights to position the company as a leader in the consulting field.

Budget Management:

  • Oversee the consulting department's budget, ensuring financial resources are allocated effectively to meet business objectives.
  • Monitor expenses and implement cost-control measures as needed.

Cross-Department Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with other departments such as marketing, R&D, and operations to align consulting initiatives with overall business strategy.
  • Facilitate interdepartmental projects and ensure cohesive execution across teams.

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential risks associated with consulting projects and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.



Client Training and Workshops:

  • Develop and deliver training sessions and workshops for clients to enhance their understanding of our services and solutions.
  • Provide clients with tools and knowledge to maximize the benefits of our consulting services.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the consulting team.
  • Regularly review and refine processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and client satisfaction.


Qualifications:


  • Proven experience in consulting, with a track record of successful project management and sales.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic proposals.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Proficient in managing billing processes and ensuring accuracy.
  • Experience in developing SOPs and implementing technological solutions for operational efficiency.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Management, or a related field.
