Responsibilities
- Advise and manage a wide range of employment legal issues, including wrongful termination, discrimination, hybrid working arrangements, investigations, dispute resolution, retrenchment, retirement, and conduct and performance management.
- Provide legal advice and counsel to internal stakeholders, offering solutions to complex employment law matters.
- Stay up-to-date on developments in labour and employment law within the APAC region including cross-border jurisdictional issues.
- Providing advice and training on regulatory compliance and compliance with internal corporate policies.
- 5+ years of relevant experience as an in-house employment lawyer, industry agnostic.
- Strong knowledge of labour and employment law within APAC region.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and concise legal advice to non-legal stakeholders.
- Track record of working cross-functionally to achieve company goals while showcasing prioritization skills.
- Knowledge of employment law in Japan and proficiency in the Japanese language (nice to have but not required).
