TEKsystems are currently engaged with a Tier 1 Global Financial Services company that are looking to hire a Solutions Engineer. The successful candidate will have a vital role in shaping future strategy and direction within the organization.

Description:

• Support for low level design and build of server hardware (Virtual machine and physical servers), including partnering with other infrastructure teams for layered product install and Databases

• Drive server and layered product build automation

• Manages multiple projects or a single complex project

• Partner with Core Technology Infrastructure (CTI) Platform Engineering to drive improvements in Cloud build automation, including OS patch upgrade tools like LEAPP

Required Skills

• Extensive experience in some or all of Distributed Operating Systems, Databases, Middleware, Mainframe and Data Networks.

• Experience of large scale complex projects

• Ability to help drive automation using python or terraform

Soft Skills

• Excellent written and oral communication skills and relationship building skills.

• Experience providing end to end design guidance and oversight for large scale initiatives.

• Ability to lead a team through technical challenges both tactically and strategically.

• Experience translating product roadmaps and key technical strategies and direction

• Technical aptitude - has the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies, applications

• A Self-motivated, hands-on, driven individual
