Our client is looking for a Product Development and Production Manager to support the day-to-day activities within their Product Supply Chain team.

In this role, you will work across teams to translate ideas into finished products, while optimizing cost, quality, and lead time. You manage end-to-end new product development and sustaining. This includes vendor management and evaluation, product development, cost negotiations, sourcing, production, and quality assurance.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Senior Director of Supply Chain to establish strategy and timelines for new product development and sourcing activities.
  • Manage new product development quotes and RF process.
  • Responsible for detailed data management including SKU data, packaging artwork, purchase orders, and Bill of Materials.
  • Manage all samples, including tracking, assembly, organization, and documenting changes across versions.
  • Communicate with overseas and domestic vendors to manage ongoing projects in development and production. Ensure they meet the timelines, required specifications, and quality standards.
  • Partner with the Senior Director of Supply Chain to onboard new suppliers and manage existing vendor relationships.
  • Responsible for ensuring products meet all compliance testing requirements.
  • Assist in outlining sustainability initiatives and researching new materials.
  • Support implementation of cross-functional standard operating procedures to enable the success of key business & sourcing initiatives.
  • Formulate and execute successful supply chain strategies along with detailed implementation plans that align with the business’s strategic goals and plans and drive to help deliver the objectives.
  • Drive a culture of ownership and continuous improvement
  • Builds consensus on strategies and tactics with all stakeholders

Qualifications:

  • 5-7+ years of previous experience in product development, sourcing, supply chain, or production. Experience in home goods (hard goods and soft goods) is a plus.
  • Excellent computer skills, including Google Suite, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge and experience using computer software and collaborative project management tools and processes.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
