About The OPPORTUNITY

We have an excellent opportunity for a Talent & Performance Lead to join our growing business. The location of this role is flexible.

We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and/or hybrid working.

In this role, you'll lead the enterprise to deliver the best possible people experience and outcomes relating to talent and performance practice. A key role within the Talent, Capability & Change Team, you'll directly contribute to the delivery of the People Strategy, providing expert thought leadership and co-designing solutions, frameworks, and policies, delivering projects and processes to meet local and global business priorities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide subject matter expertise to multiple stakeholders across the business on Talent & Performance Management
  • Ownership of the business' Talent & Performance Management strategies, policies, processes, and systems, working closely with colleagues across our shared services teams to drive improvements and efficiencies
  • Overseeing the annual talent and performance review processes, including the design and delivery of all necessary communications and engagements to inform and upskill People Leaders, employees, and members of the People Organisation
  • Collaborating across regions to define and implement a global approach to talent and performance that creates an improved employee experience and delivers local and global results
  • Contributing to and/or leading projects and activities in support of the broader People Strategy, working with colleagues across our Employee Experience, Capability, Employee Relations, and Reward Teams, alongside our People Business Partners and leadership teams


About YOU

  • Significant experience in designing and implementing enterprise-wide talent and/or performance frameworks, processes and systems
  • Experience leading through change and driving adoption of desired change
  • Experience working in a complex, matrixed or multinational organisation
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to partner with and influence stakeholders across the business locally and globally
  • Tertiary qualifications in a Human Resources, Organisational Development or related discipline would be highly desirable
  • Proficiency in the use, analyses, and management of data and/or HR Information Systems
