About Us

South West Plumbing, Heating, Air & Electric is one of the fastest-growing home services providers in the Greater Seattle area. With over 45 years of experience in plumbing and HVAC, we have recently expanded into electrical services. Now in its second year, our Electrical Division is poised for significant growth, and we are seeking a driven leader to take this budding department to the next level.

Position Overview

The Electrical Division Manager is responsible for leading a small but high-energy team of 10 electricians, apprentices, and support staff. This is a hands-on leadership role for a motivated individual who thrives in building teams, solving problems, and driving growth in both people and services.

The ideal candidate will have experience in field training, managing technicians, and working directly with customers. While electrical experience is strongly preferred, proven success in growing and leading field teams in any trade or technical service will be considered. This role is focused on expanding revenue, improving service delivery, and building the foundation for a $10MM division within two years.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead and mentor a young, driven team.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and field training to technicians and apprentices, ensuring technical excellence and outstanding customer interactions.
  • Recruit, onboard, and develop new team members as the division expands.

Operational Growth & Strategy

  • Partner with the Director of Sales / Operations and the General Manager to scale the Electrical Division to achieve $10MM in annual revenue within two years.
  • Expand the product and service offering, identifying high-demand opportunities in residential electrical.
  • Improve service operations by increasing sales and enhancing the customer experience.

Sales & Customer Focus

  • Drive sales performance by developing technician sales skills and ensuring consistent presentation of solutions to customers.
  • Monitor and improve customer satisfaction through quality service, responsiveness, and professionalism.
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing leadership to ensure lead flow and conversion goals are achieved.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Dispatch, Call Center, Warehouse, HR, and Accounting to ensure smooth operations and accurate job costing.
  • Collaborate with the Plumbing, HVAC, and Drains divisions to share resources and best practices.

Financial & KPI Management

  • Manage departmental KPIs, including revenue, gross margin, closing percentage, call efficiency, and sales growth.
  • Track and manage budgets, labor efficiency, and departmental profitability.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve performance.

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing technicians, field teams, or service operations (home services or trades preferred).
  • Hands-on experience in field training, coaching, or customer-facing service delivery.
  • Electrical experience (EL01/EL02 or equivalent) preferred but not required.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Track record of growing revenue, improving service operations, or building a team from the ground up.
  • High energy, collaborative, and committed to employee success.
