Trading Partner Finance (TPF) is a high professional, high performing Global team, enabling the Haleon supply chain to get products to customers on-time and improve everyday heath for billions of people, through strong partnership across the business.

This is a high-profile role with a global remit that requires the ability to effectively manage and influence teams and stakeholders across different countries and levels.

Our activities support ca. 95% of Haleon’s trade as it routes through a series of specifically designed trading entities which principally cover the procurement, supply, import and export of product for intercompany and 3rd party cross border transactions.

On a daily basis we are required to react rapidly to emerging issues that require swift resolution to keep the supply chain moving, whilst ensuring compliance with global trade, financial, legal & fiscal requirements.

The TPF Invoicing team is responsible for trade invoicing in Haleon’s Trading Partner Operating model; this includes:

  • Invoices and Credit Notes to move goods between Haleon entities and third party (CMOs)
  • Managing supporting documentation for Customs
  • Integration of international legislation changes into processes

Job description 

Your responsibilities will include – but non-exhaustively

  • Responsible for leading and driving performance of the Invoicing Service delivery team
  • Ensure there are no, or minimal delays to the Supply Chain as a result of Trading Partner Finance (TPF) invoice
  • Implementing change to business ensuring quality financial support the Trading Partner invoicing and accounting processes
  • Manage service delivery end to end through teams to the markets
  • Proactively manage closure of open issues and escalations ensuring preventative measures are in place to prevent reoccurrence
  • Monitor workload volumes, and exceptions to ensure level of resource to manage is adequate including additional resources to support projects, embed new processes and incremental activities, support the development of team capabilities in Genpact, creating a culture of high performance.
  • Build effective relationships with Genpact and work cross functionally with key areas such as GMS and LOC’s, Logistics, Finance and Supply Chain teams
  • Taking the time to build quality relationships with senior stakeholders and customers to truly understand their needs
  • Contributing to team objectives, plans & projects
  • Day to day oversight of outsourced BPO team (Genpact)
  • Being an ambassador for Global Finance Services (GFS) and TPF
  • Managing stakeholders, dealing with escalations and gathering feedback
  • Supporting regular communication with global teams to cascade process / system information
  • Continuously identifying & driving improvements in end-to-end processes, ensuring sustainability & suitability for an FMCG company
  • Having a strong compliance mindset, ensuring adherence to Sox controls, GxP etc
  • Act as coach and mentor to team
  • Understand what support team members need in order to be truly empowered and inspired
  • Supporting the Finance Controlling Principal with ad-hoc requests, activities & projects

Requirements/Qualifications

Basic Requirements

  • At least 12+ years’ experience of supply chain processes to include Trade Route principles, Invoicing and Credit Notes; Transfer Pricing is a distinct advantage
  • Demonstrated ability in successfully resolving customer issues regardless of organizational boundaries, to a mutually acceptable solution
  • Experience of working in a controls / Sarbanes Oxley environment
  • In depth knowledge of SAP modules
  • Solid analytical Skills
  • Ability to identify & resolve problems
  • Self-motivated and display of initiative in solving problems
  • Disciplined, robust organization skills, ability to plan & manage workload
  • Actively seek to improve process making them more effective & efficient
  • Ability to work in culturally diverse teams and reconcile cultural differences
  • Effective communication skills and ability to interact with & influence stakeholders internally and externally

Preferred Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree / MBA or equivalent
  • Supply Chain and / or FMCG industry experience
  • Experience of working with outsourced BPO providers
  • Proven people management skills including the ability to deliver through others with the capacity to foster enthusiasm and teamwork
  • Highly computer literate with a working knowledge of key global supply chain IT systems and their associated interfaces an advantage
  • Awareness of business operating models at an International Level
  • Familiar with Export & logistics practices including Letter of Credit
