The Georgia Department of Human Services (DHS), Office of Inspector General - Benefits Investigation Recovery Unit (OIG/BIRU) is seeking candidates for the position of Assistant Deputy Inspector General, Investigations and Inspections. This position is located in Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia.

Under limited supervision, the Director of Investigations and Inspections (DII) provides senior leadership to OIG’s Benefit Integrity and Background Eligibility units. In this role, OIG’s DII will administer and oversee all functions supporting the enforcement and integrity of the SNAP and TANF programs, employment and contractor eligibility services, GBI & FBI regulations, and other regulatory responsibilities.
The DII will establish a presence of OIG exceptionalism and One OIG unity across OIG, internal DHS units, federal partners, and community stakeholders by upholding standards of integrity and compliance in the assigned program areas. Effectively managing resources and directing the work of subordinate senior managers through culture changes and enhanced accountability is central to the success of OIG’s DII.
