Bridges Healthcare, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Chief Medical Officer

20 hours per week/$150,000 per year

PURPOSE and POSITION OVERVIEW

Serve as chief medical officer ensuring high quality medical/psychiatric care in Adult and Child departments.

 

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee/direct operations of medical department.
  • Provide consultation and/or psychiatric support in the evaluation and treatment of patients.
  • Provide clinical leadership to staff.
  • Ensure coordination of client medical care.
  • Collaborate with fiscal department in the development of budgets and forecasts for medical department
  • Supervise, coach and provide guidance to supervisees.
  • Perform any other department or agency-related duties or special projects as directed by supervisor.

 

QUALIFICATIONS and COMPETENCIES

Medical degree from an accredited college or university and a completed residency in psychiatry.

Board Certified/Eligible in Psychiatry.

Current State of Connecticut medical license and State Controlled Substance Registration and a Federal DEA certificate

Ability to work a flexible schedule.

Good communication and documentation skills.

Computer literacy.

Ability to prioritize and organize schedules/demands.

Certification in addiction preferred.
