We have huge ambitions and want people to join us on our quest to become a world-leading Web3 organisation.🙌🏼 What you will be doingWe're looking for a Compliance Manager and DPO based out of our Dublin office, to assist in the design, implementation and monitoring of Ramp Ireland (Swaps) Ltd. AML and Data Protection Compliance programmes.This is a second line of defence role which will report to the Head of Compliance (Ireland) but work closely with a wide range of teams across the business including Legal, Compliance, Compliance Operations, Support, Product, Commerical and Technology teams.🧩What you will be working onAML/Financial Crime
- Support the Head of Compliance (Ireland) in the implementation and management of relevant compliance programmes including AML/CFT/Sanctions, EU Travel Rule and regulatory change programmes as applicable.
- Proven experience coordinating the timely investigation of suspicious activity and necessary reporting (STRs) filed with an Garda Síochána and the Revenue Commissioners.
- Provide timely responses in relation to requests to Law Enforcement agencies.
- Support the annual risk assessment of Ramp Irelands ML/CFT risk.
- Support the annual review of the AML policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and financial crime prevention.
- Support review of training materials and delivery of annual training to employees on compliance-related topics such as AML, Sanctions, AntiBribery and Corruption and EU Travel Rule.
- Support second line of defence monitoring of Ramp Ireland AML/ CFT/Sanctions controls.
- Support the provision of management information ("MI") on AML for reporting to Ramp Ireland senior leadership and Board of Directors ensuring awareness of the status of the AML and CTF compliance programmes.
- Act as Compliance SME to the business working closely with, and support, key stakeholders in the Commercial, Marketing, Legal, Operations, Compliance Operations, Support and Product teams to drive a culture of financial crime and data protection compliance.
- Responsible for monitoring the organisations compliance with EU data privacy requirements and other data protection legislation and for maintaining internal data protection policies, procedures and processes.
- Inform and advise the organisation and its employees of their data protection obligations under the GDPR and foster a data protection culture.
- Lead Privacy Risk Assessments, manage data subject access requests and data breach responses.
- Act as primary point of contact for all internal and external queries and issues.
- Significant Compliance experience in a similar role at a regulated financial institution or crypto asset firm, or in a consultancy or regulator with a focus on AML / STR reporting. Some experience of Data Protection/Privacy experience ideally.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Law or related field.
- Certifications in Compliance (e.g. ACOI LCI, CFPC, CFRCP or equivalent) or working towards.
- Certifications in Data Protection (e.g. CDPO or IAPP CIPP/E) or working towards beneficial.
- Excellent knowledge of Irish AML regulatory requirements as they relate to a registered virtual asset service provider (VASP).
- Good knowledge of national and European data protection laws and practices and understanding of the GDPR.
- Highly collaborative and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a variety of cross-functional global stakeholders.
- Highest level of professionalism and integrity with the ability to handle information with discretion as appropriate.
- Ability to communicate effectively to senior management with strong attention to detail.
- Self-starter and ability to act independently.
- Fluent in English; any additional language abilities are a plus (we operate globally!).
- Genuine enthusiasm and curiosity about fintech and crypto.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and systems.
- Willing and able to travel internationally.
