The Compliance Officer will be responsible for overseeing and managing all industrial relations and Labour Law Compliance matters within the organization. This includes fostering positive relationships between the organization and its employees, ensuring compliance with labour laws, filing of returns, addressing notices and inspections from various authorities. The role also involves liaison with appropriate authority and negotiation, and contributing to the development of strategies that keeps our various offices in India compliant on all statutory labour laws.
Labour Relations Management:
- Execute the India Compliance Program and perform regular controls, reporting findings to senior management and global legal. Where compliance vulnerability and / or risk is identified, collaborate with global teams to develop, and implement corrective actions for resolution to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future. Generate and implement new ideas to enhance existing internal controls.
- Ensuring local policies are up to date, aligned with group policies and local laws, reviewed at appropriate intervals and embedded within the region.
- Develop, implement, and maintain industrial relations strategies that align with the organization’s goals and ensure harmonious employee relations.
- Provide strategic advice on labour law compliance and collective bargaining agreements.
- Work with Labour Law Consultant on a day- to day basis generating various reports and keeping them updated on the internal software
Compliance and Legal Guidance:
- Ensure the organization is compliant with all labour laws, industrial agreements, and relevant workplace regulations.
- Stay up to date on changes in labour laws, employment regulations, and industry standards, ensuring the organization adjusts accordingly.
- Liaise with legal teams or external legal advisors for compliance matters, legal disputes, or employee-related litigation.
- Design and execute required employee engagement surveys, assess results, and take appropriate actions based on feedback.
- Act as a liaison between management and employees, promoting transparency and collaboration.
