We’re looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Invoice to Cash Specialist to manage accounts receivable processes for our South American market, with a primary focus on Colombia. This role is ideal for someone passionate about accuracy, compliance, and building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

In this role, a typical day will include:

Performance Management and Service Delivery:

  • Perform timely collections for assigned customer accounts, ensuring payments are correctly applied and payment supplements are issued where required.
  • Review and validate retention records and other tax deductions according to the regulations of the region.
  • Reconcile accounts receivable monthly, obtaining customer acceptance digitally or in writing, and validate accounting balances for accuracy.
  • Monitor and analyze portfolio indicators, address risk analysis, and provide actionable insights to mitigate delays in collections.

Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to local and regional financial regulations, maintaining comprehensive documentation of collection activities.
  • Validate tax withholdings, deductions, and other fiscal requirements to ensure compliance within established timeframes.
  • Collaborate with audit teams and provide supporting documentation for internal and external reviews.

Collaboration and Customer Focus

  • Work closely with commercial and customer experience teams to ensure alignment on customer account management.
  • Establish strong relationships with over 100 accounts, fostering trust and effective communication.
  • Maintain a customer-centric approach, delivering excellent service while upholding professional and assertive communication styles.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in administration, finance, accounting, or a related field is required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in collections, accounts receivable, or invoice-to-cash processes.
    Proven experience in account reconciliation, portfolio analysis, and payment applications.
    Familiarity with ERP systems, specifically SAP (collections module), and Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP).
  • Languages: Fluency in Spanish (neutral accent).
  • Core Skills: Strong foundational knowledge of accounting concepts such as debit, credit, assets, liabilities, equity, and provisions.
    Proactive, adaptable, and empowered professional who thrives in fast-paced environments.
    Exceptional communication skills—assertive, with the ability to build strong networks with internal and external clients.
    Self-managed and open to learning new processes and adapting to changes.
