Job Description
The Americas Marketplaces Development Expert position is an individual contributor role within the Omni-Channel Americas Marketplaces Team, reporting directly to the Manager team and covering HP Personal Systems, Printing, Printing Supplies, as well as the HyperX and Poly brands.
In this role, the Americas Marketplaces Development Expert will collaborate with top marketplace accounts and platforms across North America and Latin America, ensuring a best-in-class customer experience while safeguarding HP’s brand from bad actors and unethical practices. This individual will work closely with Account Developers, leveraging internal and external agencies and tools to drive incremental revenue and optimize online market share.
Success in this role requires a strong background in e-commerce, sales, business development, writing, and business communication.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Account Developers to enhance the overall customer experience for HP, HyperX, and Poly across top marketplaces in North America and Latin America.
- Work directly with HP’s online and sales teams to integrate HP’s Qualified Marketplace Program strategies and policies into marketplace platforms.
- Successfully operate across divisions and business units to drive improvements in Marketplace Program performance.
- Establish and manage relationships with 3P partners.
- Work across multiple countries, leveraging diverse reports and tools to proactively identify and resolve marketplace account issues.
- Collaborate with HP’s internal and external brand protection teams and agencies to implement an effective and tailored system for detecting and enforcing actions against infringements.
- Generate reports, analyze statistics, maintain records, and identify trends to refine the Qualified Marketplace Program strategy.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and demonstrate professional discretion when handling sensitive company processes and information.
- Take ownership of marketplace performance analysis, including ongoing tracking of key metrics to drive strategic actions.
Requirements
- Fluent in English (business conversation level).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience working with data and performing data analysis to support decision-making.
- Ability to produce high-quality reports and deliver professional presentations.
- Experience with marketplace accounts and/or eCommerce platforms is a plus.
- Strong understanding of eCommerce, marketplace operations, and the online retail industry.
- Proven ability to complete tasks and assignments in a timely manner.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (mandatory).
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team player in a professional and reliable manner.
- Experience in communicating and building relationships with internal and external partners.
- Strong strategic thinking and planning skills.
Education and Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Typically, 3–5 years of proven experience in eCommerce, marketplaces, digital marketing, or digital business development.
- Typically, 3–5 years of experience in project development.
