Are you passionate about coding and eager to gain hands-on experience in software development? Join our Centre-of-Expertise Messaging Team as an intern to develop internal tools and help in the day-to-day work of the team!
Role Overview:
As an intern, you’ll have the exciting opportunity to work on the development of a reporting Java application that consolidates multiple input files (XML, JSON) into user-friendly, human-readable reports in HTML or PDF format. You’ll also play an integral part in updating the documentation for both new and existing applications in Confluence, ensuring the team has accurate, up-to-date resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a Java-based reporting application that consolidates XML and JSON input files into easy-to-read reports in HTML/PDF format.
- Collaborate with the team to design and implement features that support streamlined reporting.
- Maintain and update Confluence documentation for the developed application
- Perform testing of existing applications and improve their documentation.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Experience in Java 8, with solid experience in XML and file management.
- Familiarity with tools and technologies like IntelliJ, Eclipse. Confluence is a good to have.
- Strong English writing skills, particularly in documenting technical processes clearly and effectively.
Preferred Background/education:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- A passion for Java code design and programming.
About the Team:
Join the Centre-of-Expertise Messaging Team, a group of technical experts solving complex customer issues. We also certify vendor applications for connecting to the Swift messaging network, and this project is key to improving communication speed and efficiency. Our team is spread across La Hulpe, London, and Manassas, with stakeholders of this project based in La Hulpe.
