About the Role/You


Are you looking to take the lead in fostering international collaborations? RMIT University is on the hunt for a dynamic individual to manage our partnerships in the Greater China and North Asia region.

In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of enhancing RMIT's footprint in these regions, driving strategic projects that align with our global goals. You’ll ensure our offshore transnational education programs run smoothly, achieving high satisfaction among students and creating valuable partnerships. Your role will also involve providing critical insights into market trends and navigating complex regulatory landscapes, helping shape successful program delivery. You’ll build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, using your ability to bring diverse groups together to foster innovation and success.

To be successful in this position, you’ll have:

  • Experience in working with different Asian cultures and industry, in the international markets in which RMIT operates, including but not limited to the China and North Asia region.

  • Experience and high-level skills in concurrently managing large, complex, multi-level projects/programs in an international setting, including financial, regulatory and legal matters.

  • Experience in business development and strategic and operational relationship and partnership management, with a proven ability to influence key internal and external stakeholders.

  • Experience in fostering and maintaining collaborative partnerships as well as excellent interpersonal, communication skills, including the ability to influence and persuade in a cross-cultural environment.

  • Fluency in Mandarin will be considered positively.

About the Group

The International and Engagement group is led by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor International & Engagement and Vice-President. The portfolio is responsible for RMIT’s international strategy and agenda, including international development and partnerships and oversight of our international operations including RMIT Vietnam and RMIT Europe. It consists of the following units: 

  • International 

  • RMIT Vietnam 

  • RMIT Europe 

  • University Communications 

  • Experience (Global Student Recruitment; Global Marketing and Regional Hubs; Market Intelligence & Propositions; Digital & Experience) 

  • Business Development, Philanthropy, RMIT Culture
