JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with vendors to set the strategic direction for Supplier Operations team in Indonesia. Responsible to manage day to day performance management of vendors, make sure, that on time delivery, visibility elements, capacity, split of volumes, payments and other mutual obligations are safeguarded and delivery as contracted. Support Maersk’s transformation journey through the adoption of new ways of working with an emphasis on digital-driven habits.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor service quality of vendors across customers and modes (e.g. Truck, Rail, Barge, etc) and act on non-compliance.
- Monitor service quality of Maersk (Allocations, Payment, integrations, etc) and act on non-compliance.
- Drive onboarding of current vendors to policies, tools and other operational items.
- Drive compliance from vendor to Maersk required standards as supplier portal, digital integrations, payment policies and other operational activities.
- Ensure specific obligations from Maersk are implemented across relevant teams (Product, Procurement, Operations, S&R, etc)
- Ensure vendor allocation is performed as per Product and Procurement direction setting
- Constantly feed timely market and customer information back to the Organization
Accountable For:
- Vendor onboarding (processes and systems)
- Building partnerships & innovation with vendors
- Vendor compliance to Maersk Operational standards (eg, digitization, data exchange, invoices controls, etc)
- Overall vendor management outcomes in the Country
- Ensure vendor management capabilities are in place
- Vendor compliance with SLA and volume distribution
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR
- Experience in Vendor Management.
- Candidates who have logistics or supply chain management experience will have an advantage.
- High sense of urgency.
- A strong understanding and knowledge of local logistics market is a plus.
- Have strong conflict management and negotiation skills.
- Ability to operate successfully in a complex environment with multiple internal and external stakeholders across several levels.
- Ability to prepare and execute a business plan to run a large operation with variable demands.
- Comfortable working in an ambiguous environment.
