The Marketing Specialist, Traffic and Creative Services plays a key role in ensuring that creative projects flow smoothly from start to finish. This person acts as a liaison between the creative team, marketing team, and other departments, managing deadlines, resources, and project execution for the Denny’s brand. This role will oversee the workflow of creative projects from inception to completion, ensuring deadlines are met, budgets are adhered to, and communication between teams is seamless.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Key Responsibilities)
Project Management:
- Oversee the traffic of all creative materials and projects through the creative department, ensuring all deliverables are completed on time and within scope.
- Develop and maintain project timelines, ensuring all deadlines are met and that projects move smoothly from one phase to another.
- Coordinate with multiple teams, including designers, copywriters, strategists, and project owners, to ensure project success.
- Monitor and track the status of all active projects, providing regular updates to cross functional teams.
Creative Workflow:
- Allocate tasks to the creative team based on skill sets, availability, and workload.
- Resolve issues and remove bottlenecks in the creative process to keep projects moving forward.
- Oversee the distribution of project briefs to the creative team, ensuring clarity of goals and expectations.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams regarding creative project status.
- Coordinate with project owners to clarify project details and adjust timelines, if necessary.
- Ensure feedback is communicated to the creative team in a timely manner and that changes are implemented as needed.
Resource Allocation:
- Work closely with Sr. Creative Director & Director of Brand Activations to assign resources and freelancers to projects, as needed.
- Monitor resource availability and flag potential capacity issues in advance to ensure timely project completion.
Quality Control:
- Ensure that all creative deliverables meet the department’s quality standards.
- Review work before it is sent to project owners for final approval, ensuring it meets the brief and all internal requirements.
Process Improvement:
- Continuously assess and improve workflows and processes to optimize team efficiency.
- Propose new tools, systems, and methods to enhance productivity and creative output.
Team Management:
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the creative and brand activations team.
- Foster a collaborative environment between creative department and ensure that team members have the tools and resources needed to succeed.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain project documentation, including project briefs, timelines, revisions, and final approvals.
- Prepare status reports for internal meetings and ensure transparency in project progress.
Asset Management
- Maintains Bynder asset management organized and updated, cataloged, tagged, and shared as needed, providing access and assistance to agencies and project owners.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Education: BA in Advertising, Communications or related field
Experience: 5+ experience in an agency environment, with specific experience around project management with creative departments
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- Strong understanding of the creative process and advertising industry standards.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross functional teams
- Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Adobe, Workfront, Dropbox).
- Experience with resource management and creative scheduling.
- Project Management: Ability to juggle multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities.
- Creative Insight: Understanding of design, copywriting, and creative production processes.
- Problem Solving: Able to identify and resolve challenges that may arise during the creative process.
- Leadership: Strong leadership qualities to guide and motivate the creative team.
- Attention to Detail: Ensuring all creative work meets high standards before it goes out to project leads.
