About the Role:

Contributes to the strategy for Contracts, Pricing and Trade team. Develops and advances tactical goals across channels and customers, including Trade (pharmacy channel), GPO, through the analysis, negotiation, and execution of contracts in support of the Organizations’ sales and marketing goals. Provides support to continually improve systems/processes, analytical capabilities, and compliance oversight, as well as to implement innovative solutions for the delivery of home office support to field sales and marketing in anticipation of, and response to, changing market conditions, all in alignment with product revenue and operating profit goals.

Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to):

  • Develops and manages Trade (pharmacy channel) strategy according to the brands objectives to maximize product access and distribution

  • Responsible for identifying, assessing and building relationships with key stakeholders such as wholesalers, GPO’s and pharmacy partners

  • Implement innovative specialty pharmacy partnerships, including contracts, to support network strategy

  • Measure pharmacies performance and communicate results to leadership

  • Identify Trade and Channel partners (Specialty Pharmacy/Specialty Distributors) – and implement tracking of pertinent data and performance metrics

  • Negotiate wholesaler and GPO agreements, pricing structures, and performance incentives with distributors, wholesalers, and retail chains

  • Monitor trade channel performance, customer segmentation, and market penetration to identify growth opportunities

  • Use data-driven insights to assess trade initiatives' success and adjust strategies as needed

  • Work closely with finance, legal, market access, patient support services, national account directors and analytics teams to align trade strategies with corporate objectives

  • As required, attend Field Sales and other company meetings, industry conferences, and customer meetings to stay current on the competitive environment, challenges, and other relevant issues

  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • BS/BA degree in marketing, economics, finance, or related field

    and 8+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry or healthcare services including +2 years of wholesaler and specialty pharmacy experience. Strong understanding of specialty distribution processes and pharmaceutical regulatory requirements; demonstrated contract negotiation skills strong analytical and strategic skills OR

  • Master's degree or MBA preferred and 6+ years of similar experience noted above

  • Strong leadership, communication, presentation and project management skills

  • Ability to create contracting and pricing tactics to implement strategic goals

  • Innovative and able to invent and create opportunities

  • Ability to work in a quickly shifting and fast paced environment

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook and database applications

  • Anticipates business and industry issues; recommends relevant process / technical / service improvements

  • Demonstrates broad expertise or unique knowledge

  • Considered an expert within the company and may have external presence in area of expertise

  • Applies in-depth expertise in discipline and broad knowledge of other closely related areas to improve efficiency of team

  • Ability to work as part of and lead multiple teams

  • Good leadership, mentoring skills and abilities typically leads lower levels and/or indirect teams

  • Excellent communications, problem-solving, analytical thinking skills

  • Sees broader picture and longer-term impact on division/company

  • Ability to meet multiple deadlines across a variety of projects/programs, with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency

The annual base salary we reasonably expect to pay is $154,900.00-$224,400.00. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 30% of the earned base salary and eligibility to participate in our equity based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan (with company match), paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
