Senior Software Developer

Description -

Responsible for developing world-class cutting edge video conferencing device firmware. Responsibility includes design, develop new features, work with Microsoft and Zoom certification labs, and fixing critical issues. Individuals in these roles may have responsibilities across multiple firmware engineering disciplines, and the goal is the development of creative, industry-leading, firmware services and solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement innovative new features for our Next Generation video bar and conferencing solutions.

  • Works in the firmware engineering team to design and implement the most optimal firmware solutions for the organization

  • Design and build unique capabilities to expand our Android platform.

  • Fixing critical defects with best solutions.

  • Work with Microsoft and Zoom Certification labs to get product pass various of certifications.

  • Work with 3rd party vendor to address critical issues.

  • Work in a very collaborative and agile team.

  • Deploys and debugs firmware initiatives as needed in accordance with best practices throughout the firmware development lifecycle.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Significant experience in firmware development, and debug skills in embedded system.

  • The ideal candidate should have experience developing and debugging embedded C/C++ applications

  • Deep knowledge in Android system, and implementation below framework.

  • Needs to have at least one of the following experience and knowledge:

    • Network and security

    • USB stack development experience

    • Experience in video encoding and decoding, both algorithm and implementation, understand H.264, H.265, SVC.

  • Excellent communication, passion for learning and attention to detail are key to the role

Scope & Impact:

  • Working on various aspects of cutting-edge products.

  • Works closely with architects and technology leads, directly engaging with internal and external firmware development teams.

Complexity:

  • Moderate: May need to solve complicated multi-thread issues.

  • Applies developed subject matter knowledge to independently design common and complex business modules and solve complicated issues. Works on problems of diverse complexity and scope.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant area or demonstrated competence is minimum. Typically, at least 5 years of embedded firmware development.

The base pay range for this role is $ 115 850 up to $ 168 000 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only).  Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
