The Product Director – Auto is responsible for driving the strategic vision, development, and execution of the company's auto pawn and title pawn products across Mexico and the broader LATAM region. This role will drive innovation, optimize product performance, and enhance customer experience to increase market share and profitability.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategy & Leadership

  • Partner with leadership to develop and execute the auto product roadmap, aligning with EZCORP financial goals and market opportunities.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver best-in-class auto finance solutions.
  • Identify emerging trends in LATAM auto pawn and title loans, leveraging data and insights to refine product offerings.
  • Champion a customer-centric approach to product development, ensuring alignment with borrower needs and behaviors.

Product Development & Innovation

  • Define product requirements for auto lending solutions, including digital and in-store experiences.
  • Partner with IT teams to acquire, build and/or enhance platforms for loan origination, underwriting, and servicing.
  • Integrate AI, machine learning, and alternative data sources to improve risk assessment and credit decisioning.

Financial & Performance Management

  • Partner with leadership to meet the P&L for MX auto products, ensuring revenue growth, profitability, and cost optimization.
  • Establish KPIs for loan performance, customer acquisition, and portfolio health, making data-driven decisions.
  • Work with finance and revenue teams to optimize pricing, interest rates, and loan terms.
  • Develop and execute collections strategies to reduce delinquencies, maximize recovery rates, and efficiently manage the write-off process for non-performing loans, ensuring compliance with company policies and financial objectives.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure all auto finance products comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to mitigate risk and maintain ethical lending practices.
  • Enhance fraud prevention and vehicle valuation models to minimize defaults and losses.

Customer Experience & Engagement

  • Improve the end-to-end customer journey, from application to loan repayment.
  • Work with marketing to refine customer acquisition and retention strategies for auto loan customers.
  • Leverage customer feedback and analytics to iterate and enhance product features.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • 10+ years of experience in pawn, title loans, and alternative lending models.
  • Experience managing P&L and driving revenue growth in financial services.
  • Strong analytical skills with expertise in credit risk, underwriting, and loan servicing.
  • Familiarity with digital lending platforms, AI-driven underwriting, and alternative credit scoring.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or related advanced degree preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
