Main responsibilities :

Role Summary:

As a Business Development Manager, you will drive relationship-based consultative selling within the commercial sector, focusing on Insurance in ASEAN. Leveraging DXC’s expertise in Core Insurance solutions, AI and Analytics, Cloud, Security, and emerging technologies, you will act as a trusted advisor, engaging with senior technology and business leaders to identify value creation opportunities that address their strategic IT and business needs.

This role targets mainly existing DXC insurance customers in ASEAN, requiring a strong industry presence and active participation in relevant forums and networks. While an individual contributor (IC) role, it demands a strong leader with deep technology knowledge, the ability to articulate ROI stories, and extensive market connections. Reporting directly to the Managing Director ASEAN, you will collaborate closely with the Commercial Sell Teams, Marketing, Solutioning Teams, Business Services, Practice Leads, and Innovation Lab to drive growth. Furthermore, you will manage the Partnerships and Partners Funding Programs (especially AWS) to support the insurance opportunities and projects in the ASEAN region.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Engagement & Digital Transformation

  • Position DXC portfolio for digital transformation with the ASEAN installed insurance base, targeting C-levels
  • Support the DXC Assure insurance core system strategy (ISB solutions), and enhance with other DXC offerings (e.g. Analytics, Cloud, Security, SAP, ServiceNow)

Business Development for selected focus solutions, e.g. Analytics – Insurance Data Hub

  • Collect solution requirements from clients, co-create solution(s) with Solution Practice teams
  • Assist in funding mechanisms (e.g. with AWS) to new solution creating
  • Create pipeline for new solution(s), engage in POC projects to prove business value
  • Generate sales from non-ISB solutions for Insurance
  • Support marketing events to promote DXC’s capabilities in Insurance

AWS Partnership & Funding Management

  • Maintain a strong relationship with AWS (DXC’s preferred cloud partner over Microsoft/Google).
  • Leverage AWS’s  funding programs
  • Manage AWS funding negotiations and ensure project approvals.

Metrics

  • POC’s and Pipeline Development for new solutions (e.g. Insurance Data Hub)
  • New work in Insurance customer base (other solutions than core insurance ISB solutions)
  • Partner Fundings
