For over 125 years, Calvary Hospital and Calvary @Home located in the Bronx, New York has been dedicated to the palliative care of advanced cancer and other terminally ill patients and their families. Through a caring, compassionate, philosophy of non-abandonment, the hospice provides a full spectrum of palliative services, including emotional, spiritual, and physical care. The hospice receives patients from referring institutions throughout New York City and the entire tristate area. The Hospice On-Call Field RN is responsible for providing emergent and urgent nursing care to hospice patients during after-hours periods. This role includes assessing patient conditions, implementing care plans, and coordinating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care and adherence to the patient’s goals of care.
1. Minimum three (3) years of nursing experience, including hospice, medical-surgical, or community home health.
2. Current NYS Registered Nurse license.
3. Strong clinical expertise in end-of-life care and symptom management.
4. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
5. Proficient in using EMR systems and basic computer applications.
6. Has an ability to work flexibly and handle sensitive situations compassionately.
7. Valid NYS driver’s license and reliable transportation.
8. Ability to work non-judgmentally with diverse patient populations.
Education:
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.

Hours:
5 pm – 5 am
Weekends: Saturday and Sunday
Salary:
$109,208 - $143,925
