Enjoy a rewarding career at CentraCare as a Patient Access Assistant Lead! Our Patient Access Assistants are the first point of contact for our patients and visitors and perform registration duties within the hospital and clinic. This role requires independent analysis, exercise of judgment and detailed knowledge of facility procedures related to the work performed. You will be responsible for verifying patient and insurance information, scheduling appointments, obtaining and identifying information necessary to produce billable patient accounts and more! The lead is responsible for assisting in training, coaching and continuing education needs of Registration/Patient Access staff.
Schedule:
- Full-time | 80 hours every two weeks | Sartell Clinic
- Day shift | 8-hour shifts | Monday - Friday working hours between 6:30am-5:00pm
- No weekends or holidays
Pay and Benefits:
- Starting pay begins at $19.15 per hour; exact wage determined by years of related experience
- Pay range: $19.15 - $28.71 per hour

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 1 year clerical, administrative, or customer service experience; OR 1 year of prior scheduling, billing, patient access, accounts receivable and/or collections experience
- Medical terminology preferred
- Management or supervisor experience preferred
- 3 years of experience in a health care setting preferred
- Knowledge about third party payers, (ADT) admissions, discharges, transfer system highly preferred
- Epic Certification Epic Prelude/ADT (or other Software Vendor) Credentialing required where applicable within one year of hire
