The Asian American Foundation serves the Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) community in their pursuit of belonging and prosperity that is free from discrimination, slander, and violence. About the Role

TAAF is excited to offer an internship program that will provide participants with challenging, meaningful, and real-world experience. Participants will support departments on a variety of high-stakes projects related to administrative support, process development and improvement, and project management. In addition to having a dedicated mentor, participants will receive access to leadership and professional growth activities to gain valuable career experience in a fast paced startup environment focused on social change.

The Partnerships Intern will be supporting the Events team while conducting research and organizing information and data related to various ongoing and newly established initiatives. The Partnerships intern will prepare and present a deck of findings to the Partnerships team and TAAF at large at the end of the summer.

Responsibilities

• Research speakers and programmatic topics relevant to the events.
• Maintain and update internal databases and spreadsheets related to events, partners, and donors.
• Support general office operations, including organizing supplies, maintaining shared drives, and cataloging event materials and assets for SF office.
• Track data such as post-event attendance.
• Attend internal planning meetings, take notes, and assist with follow-up action items.
• Assist with compiling reports and summaries to support strategic planning and post-event analysis.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education and Experience

• Undergraduates pursuing degrees in a related field of study (Business, Econ, Public Policy Major, MBA, Nonprofit Management, CSR/DEI) or the equivalent of education and relevant experience.
• Previous experience in coordinating or managing projects related to the delivery of human resources products or services.

Skills and Knowledge

• Ability to think creatively about alternatives and develop new ideas for and answers to work-related problems.

• Knowledge of and experience in the use of technology, including the use of Google Suite.

Working Hours

• Working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. You will be expected to work in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, while Mondays and Fridays can be remote. This position may require occasional work on Weekends, during off-hours, or in the evenings and some travel within San Francisco may be necessary.

Benefits

Anticipated hourly rate is $20.00.
