As the Content Strategy Specialist (Operations) at Interactive Strategies, you’ll help shape digital experiences for organizations doing meaningful, high-impact work. We partner with leading nonprofits, associations, and B2B organizations to solve complex problems through smart strategy, thoughtful content, and strong digital experiences.
We’re a people-first, award-winning digital agency where good ideas matter, great execution is expected, and we have a lot of fun along the way. This role often involves balancing multiple client projects with competing deadlines, so success requires strong organization, adaptability, and comfort working independently. If you’re excited to work with nationally recognized organizations and you enjoy untangling complex websites, organizing large amounts of information, and bringing clarity to messy content ecosystems, you’ll thrive in this role.
While you’ll have opportunities to write and edit, writing isn’t the primary focus of this position. Instead, you’ll bring our content strategies to life through content planning, audits, workflows, migrations, CMS implementation, and QA. You’ll help keep complex projects organized, accurate, and moving forward, ensuring our strategists, designers, developers, and clients have the information and structure they need to deliver exceptional digital experiences.
Because you’ll work across the full website development process, this role also offers a strong foundation for growing your digital content career. You’ll collaborate closely with experienced content strategists and gain exposure to content strategy, UX, SEO, accessibility, client consulting, complex project management, and website planning.

What We Offer
Benefits
We have a simple motto when it comes to company culture, "Everyone deserves to come to work and be happy." This means a few things:
(1) We care as much about quality as we do about budgets,
(2) We find the strengths in each employee and nurture them,
(3) We encourage a culture that values innovation and creative freedom, and
(4) We want you to have fun while you’re at the office.
We may be an agency, but we understand that you have a life outside of work.
We allow our employees creative freedom. We treat them with respect and value their opinions. In that spirit, we offer the following benefits:
A Little About Us
We’re a DC-based digital agency with a national reach and a strategy-first mindset. We partner with nonprofits, associations, and mission-driven organizations to help them connect more meaningfully with their audiences. We’re proud to be a certified LGBTBE business and an equal opportunity employer. We believe diverse voices lead to stronger work—and stronger impact.
How to Apply
Send us your resume and a few writing samples that demonstrate your ability to communicate clearly for digital audiences. We don’t need a traditional cover letter—just a short introduction that tells us a little about you and your experience working with complex website content.
If you’ve worked on website redesigns, content audits, migrations, CMS implementation, or other large-scale content projects, tell us a little about your role and what you contributed. We know much of this work happens behind the scenes and can’t always be shared publicly.
Where relevant, specify if you were not the sole writer for each writing sample.
