Our company is seeking an Imaging Technician for 1st shift (6am to 2pm). This individual will be responsible for setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting high-speed commercial inkjet equipment integrated with sheet-fed production machinery. This role ensures the accurate application of variable data imaging—such as mailing addresses, barcodes, logos, and other customer-specific elements—while meeting quality, manufacturing, and postal requirements.


 Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and troubleshoot imaging equipment, including Kodak 6240 & 5240, DH91, S10 imaging systems with CS410 controller software, Domino K600i inkjet printers with Editor GT controller, and Video-Jet BX-6500 printers.
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on imaging equipment, including checking fluid levels, cleaning filters, and ensuring optimal performance.
  • Conduct frequent quality checks of live production to ensure compliance with customer specifications, manufacturing standards, and postal regulations.
  • Use multimeters and other test equipment to diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Inspect inkjet equipment for proper function and identify potential issues that could impact future production.
  • Collaborate with production personnel to determine imaging capabilities, technical requirements, and timelines for jobs.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow company safety, security, and operational procedures at all times.
  • Provide technical input to improve equipment performance and production efficiency.

Qualifications

Education & Experience Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Electronics Technology or related technical field, or military technical training preferred.
  • Experience with inkjet imaging systems and knowledge of postal regulations for standard mail.
  • Basic computer skills, with familiarity in Windows-based systems.
  • Working knowledge of industrial devices such as pumps, motors, valves, and power supplies.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Ability to walk or stand for the entire assigned shift.
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds during equipment setup.
  • Exposure to hot, humid, and/or dusty environments.
  • Possible exposure to non-toxic chemical mists or vapors, including UV chemicals.
