As an F-35 Systems administrator, you will provide first class Information Systems support to allow F-35 Force projection in Defence of Australia and its National Interests.
We are looking to develop and provide training for the successful candidate and will consider transferable skills and experience including and not limited to: Avionics Technician, Database Administrator, ITC helpdesk, Configuration Officer, or desktop support.

What You Bring:
Must-Haves:
  • Tertiary IT qualification (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience in system admin, SQL database admin, hardware/software support, or troubleshooting
  • Australian citizenship (due to Defence clearance requirements)
Nice-to-Haves:
  • Windows Server and/or Linux experience
  • Oracle certifications (OCA/OCP)
  • Defence or project-based IT experience

Your responsibilities will include:

Based at RAAF Base Tindal, you’ll work with high-level mission systems (ALIS, ODIN, and MPSE) and support the Royal Australian Air Force in real-world operations.

  • Be the go-to person for all things tech — managing accounts, passwords, and first-line support
  • Support pilots during mission planning/debriefs using advanced digital systems
System + Data Management
  • Keep critical defence systems running smoothly, securely, and up to date
  • Handle everything from software patches to compliance audits
Training + Knowledge Transfer
  • Help upskill RAAF personnel and share your tech know-how
  • Work alongside a supportive team and grow your leadership potential
Backup/Restore/Disaster Recovery
  • Be the safety net for mission-critical systems — keeping data secure and recoverable
