TYPE 2 DRIVER (No CDL required)

Liberty School District is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Type 2 Driver to transport students to and from school in a safe and timely manner. It is anticipated to be a minimum of 3.5 hours/day.  Medical, dental, and retirement benefits will be available.

INTERESTED APPLICANTS MUST HAVE OR BE ABLE TO OBTAIN:

• Must possess a valid Washington State Driver’s license, with 5 years’ prior driving experience (No CDL required)
• Successful criminal background clearance
• Valid first aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain
• Clean driving record with no serious traffic violations
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff
• Commitment to student safety and confidentiality

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES TO INCLUDE:

• Safely operate a district vehicle (capacity of fewer than 10 passengers, including the driver) on assigned routes and schedules
• Transport students to and from school, field trips and extracurricular activities as assigned
• Maintain order and enforce safety rules to ensure the safety of all passengers
• Report any vehicle malfunctions, accidents, or safety incidents to the Transportation Supervisor promptly
• Maintain accurate records of mileage, routes and passenger counts
• Follow all federal, state and district transportation policies and procedures
• Provide courteous and professional service to students, parents and school staff
