Description

Overnight Molding Operator, Plastics (Band 4)
Shift A: Overnight, 12 hour shift
Starting pay range: $19.75-$22.03

POSITION SUMMARY:

This key position requires the efficient and safe operation of a variety of machines on the molding production line. Also requires mechanical skill, and ability to read and follow customer specifications.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operates injection molding equipment, adjusts machines, ensures, quality, deflashes parts.
  • Follow safety rules, procedures, guidelines, and training given. Recognize and report hazards to designated individual(s). Actively participate in safety program. Practice safe work habits and report accidents/injuries immediately.
  • Flexibility in job assignments and adaptability to changing business needs
  • Continually learn and apply new skills.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area
  • Work cooperatively with team members. Actively listen and ask questions to understand.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment.  
  • Maintain excellent attendance, including overtime as required.
  • Other duties as requested, directed, or assigned and fill in at other areas, or other buildings, as needed.

Qualifications


Education / Experience:

  • Prior injection molding and extrusion processes experience required.
  • General knowledge of small hand tools is preferred.

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations.
  • Proficiency in reading a tape measure.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move items up to 60 pounds, with reaching, pulling, pushing.
