Job Summary:

This position oversees all activities of the structure loading and splicing design teams. These teams create, maintain, and communicate fiber splicing documentation across the network, as well as manage access assignment information within the Metasolv inventory system. They play a key role in the new pass release cycle and drive process improvements to support the network’s continued growth.

What you will be doing:

• Lead the fiber design splicing team who is responsible for producing and maintaining all splicing documentation within the Metronet footprint
• Lead the structure loading team who is responsible for developing and maintaining all access base equipment connections within the Metasolv system so that auto provisioning works as designed
• Work directly with city build teams and fiber design team to make sure all splicing doc’s are released proactivity
• Work directly with field operations teams across the company to ensure that network augments are proactivity
• Provide continued communication with other organizations to reduce confusion and drive for faster turn arounds
• Partner with the Technology team to develop workflows and automation
• Work closely with Technology team during migration phase of integration for company acquisitions
• Lead efforts to bring structure loading and fiber splicing team more closely connected with knowledge sharing
• Travel to Evansville twice a year
• All other duties as assigned

What you need for this position:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and/or management or 8 years of experience in the engineering and/or management side of telecommunications/networking.
• Excellent time management skills. Able to manage many moving projects at one time.
• Effective communications skills by partnering with peer organizations to be able to drive for efficiency and cost savings.
• Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to create executive level presentations.
• Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills

Additional Job Requirements:

• Position will be remote or Evansville, IN.
• Working knowledge of PON networks including Nokia, Adtran, and Calix.
• Experience using Metasolv including orders, workflows, equipment, circuits, etc.
