Responsibilities

• Operate the loader in a plant setting to stockpile and load aggregates into the plant or trucks efficiently and safely
• Perform pre-operation equipment inspections and report any malfunctions or safety concerns immediately
• Assist with general plant maintenance tasks to ensure a clean and safe working environment
• Coordinate with plant personnel to maintain smooth workflow and timely production
• Follow all safety policies and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with regulations
• Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot operational challenges as they arise

Requirements

• Proven experience operating loaders or similar heavy equipment, preferably in asphalt plant or construction settings
• Strong commitment to safety and adherence to operational protocols
• Good mechanical aptitude to perform basic equipment inspections and maintenance
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with plant and project personnel
• Flexibility to work varying hours and travel to different plant sites in Iowa and Nebraska
• Pass pre-employment drug screening.
