Your Tasks

• Provision of comprehensive architectural and design expertise for all new projects, including new builds, remodels and store conversions across Europe
• Support of planning and interior design development for the implementation of innovative concept models across Europe
• Active contribution to the creation, evolution, and maintenance of Brand Standards, Design Guides, and other design tools for internal and market-wide use
• Provision of dedicated architectural and design support for individual projects, including effective communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders and the delivery of timely progress updates
• Assurance of best practice and full compliance with brand standards and values throughout all design and construction phases, with a strong focus on sustainable solutions
• Leadership and support for the entire furniture development process within projects, from initial concept to production and installation, with emphasis on innovative, functional, and sustainable furniture solutions
• Proactive collaboration with visual merchandising, marketing, engineering, rollout, supply chain, external producers, and general contractors for cohesive and impactful project outcomes

Your Profile

• Professional Architecture and Interior Design qualification, knowledge in furniture development
• Several years of experience in a design / architecture agency
• Knowledge and understanding of generally applicable laws and regulations in general and in the retail / hospitality sector
• Strong computer application skills, including 3D software (Rhino & V-Ray), Photoshop, InDesign, CAD programs, and the Microsoft Office 365° suite
• Experience in presenting ideas and project requirements clearly and eloquently
• Fluent in English; fluency in German is a strong advantage
• High degree of cultural sensitivity and adaptability in international environments
• Excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail
• Highly self-motivated and proactive, with a strong sense of responsibility in all assigned tasks
• Able to work independently while actively contributing to team success

About Us

The Concept Development & Creation department at MediaMarktSaturn Retail Group is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of internationally standardized store concepts. The team defines and maintains design standards for all store-related topics, leads the creative and strategic planning of store layouts, and ensures the successful design execution of new store openings and modernization projects across our international markets.

The team is looking for an Architect or Interior Designer (m/f/d) by education, passionate about concept and retail design. This position carries end-to-end responsibility for projects from initial idea through implementation, including the development of innovative and sustainable furniture solutions. The role requires proven experience across all design phases—from concept to construction—and the ability to work at multiple scales, with strong knowledge of sustainable materials, production methods, and detailed design.
