Business Development Professional
Location: Houston, TXHIRING A BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT PROFESSIONAL IN HOUSTON
ACCOUNTABILITY
The Business Development Professional will support DBR across the firm by identifying new leads, creating persuasive pitches, and setting clear growth targets. They will work closely with Market Leads to develop and execute strategic plans, using creativity and analysis to attract and win new business. Adaptability, self-motivation, and a focus on continuous improvement are essential.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Participate and assist in the development and implementation of BD plans for targeting key clients and markets of focus for office core practice groups
- Provide input to strategic plans based on market research
- Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities, generate leads, and support cross-marketing within the firm�s existing client base
- Monitor industry trends and analyze the competitive landscape to develop targeted sales strategies for key clients and assigned market sectors
- Seek opportunities to strengthen client relationships
- Identify, develop, and/or maintain client contacts with key prospects
- Be actively involved in professional industry organizations
- Proactively engage in relationship-building activities, including industry events, firm-hosted lunch and learns, market-specific conferences, and client-focused networking such as meet and greets and happy hours
- Update and maintain CRM database with relevant information on targeted clients, contacts and opportunities
- Manage routine exports of data from databases for business development efforts and preparing custom reports as needed
- Maintain flexibility and be able to work overtime as needed
- Attend meetings on and offsite as needed; including but not limited to, company events, trainings and continuing education events
- Perform additional assignments as requested/needed
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma/GED 5+ years of related work experience
