We are actively seeking a Principal with industry insights and network to strengthen our expertise and to join our expanding team of experts. Based in Hamburg, you will work within international, multi-disciplinary teams on a variety of consultancy engagements in the field of Strategy and Transaction Advisory - focused on large utilities and investors.

Your main responsibilities include:

1.Business Development & Client Management

• Responsibility for significant revenue growth and profitability in the client segment of large utilities or financial investors
• Identification and development of new business opportunities, focusing on strategy and transactions in the energy sector
• Building and maintaining long-term C-level relationships, particularly with large utilities, financial investors and other international companies in the energy space

2. Project Leadership & Delivery Excellence

• Leading and ensuring the quality of consulting projects in the areas of strategy, due diligence, transformation, and decarbonization
• Managing interdisciplinary teams to deliver client-focused and sustainable project outcomes

3. Market Positioning & Thought Leadership

• Active positioning as a thought leader in the energy and investment landscape
• Representing the firm at industry events, conferences, and expert panels

4. Office Development & Team Leadership (Co-Lead)

• Joint responsibility for the strategic development of the Hamburg office
• Building and leading a high-performing, interdisciplinary team
• Fostering an open, collaborative, and results-driven company culture

5. International Collaboration

• Close coordination with global teams to develop international client strategies
• Leveraging the global network to scale projects and unlock new business potential

Your Profile

The ideal candidate holds a university degree in business, engineering, energy, or natural sciences, with additional qualifications such as a CFA being a plus. You bring at least seven years of professional experience, including several years in a leadership position within large utilities, strategy consulting, or investment environments.

You provide a proven track record in proactive business development and sales, along with strong experience in managing strategy and due diligence projects, ideally within the energy or infrastructure sectors.

A well-established network of decision-makers in major utilities, financial investors, and international energy companies rounds up your profile.

With an entrepreneurial mindset, a strong client focus, and high self-motivation, you demonstrate leadership capabilities and a proven ability to develop new business areas.

Business fluent in both German and English is required, while any additional language skills would be advantageous.
