Cheniere Supply Chain Management (SCM) is shaping an organization focused on delivering an agile and resilient supply chain aligned with the Company’s growth and performance objectives. The Cheniere SCM team is accountable for supporting business partners to deliver value, mitigate risk and assure security of supply across the LNG value stream.   

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Warehouse Operations Supervisor reports directly to the Warehouse Operations Manager and is accountable for client relationship, support and execution of SCM strategies concerning materials management, execute assurance processes including investigations and resolution of issues and/or problems that arise related to inventory management, warehouse operations and logistics, among others. The supervisor works closely with Operations, to support all maintenance and production activities of the LNG and regasification terminal.  Dedication and sensitivity to safety issues and compliance with policies and procedures are essential for the safe, reliable and efficient operation of the terminal and the facilities, including but not limited to warehouses.

The Warehouse Operations Supervisor will work directly with Site Leadership as a key member of the SCM and Site Management teams. Shall communicate effectively and ensure security of all materials under inventory for the support of the construction, operation and maintenance of the LNG terminal Operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Monitor and ensure compliance with monthly Key Performance indicators (KPIs) related to warehouse operations and inventory management.
• Implement quality assurance and control procedures to meet customer service expectations.
• Lead the execution and implementation of materials management’s optimization projects and initiatives as part of the SCM continuous improvement plan.
• Work with inventory specialists, maintenance planning and suppliers to establish and control materials management processes and activities, such as: preservation and storage, inventory levels, returns, disposal, inbound and outbound processes, etc.
• Plan, perform and approve material transfers between storerooms, sites, etc.
• Bundles parts requirements to support the execution of job plans in accordance with the maintenance and production schedules.
• Support the development, review and update of materials management procedures including processes, tasks and responsibilities under materials management.  Procedures and processes shall be in accordance with Cheniere guidelines, internal controls and assurance programs.
• Provide hands-on support to all operational day-to-day activities performed at the warehouse and ensure 24/7 coverage.
• Verify and ensure all processes performed under warehouse operations, are executed in a safely manner and in alignment with Cheniere’s policies and procedures.
• Conducts inventory and asset reconciliations for company records.
• Ensures all facilities are maintained in accordance with government regulations and safety standards, and adequate records and documents are initiated and maintained.
• When applicable, serve as designated Cheniere FTZ Authorized Representative for the facility assigned under his/her supervision, which will require a United States Customs and Border Protection background check.
• Oversees and expedite delivery dates for critical materials as needed. 
• Assist in the implementation of the transaction reduction programs to optimize resources and build efficiencies into the procurement process.
• Support and deliver robust cost management and minimizes business risks.
• Carries out other duties as assigned/requested by upper management.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Knowledge: 

Thorough understanding of plant operations, transportation, logistics, storage and processing including safety and security, maintenance, operations, governmental regulations and associated codes and standards. In-depth knowledge of plant maintenance procedures and equipment.

Skills: 

• Exceptional leadership, supervisory and administrative abilities are required. 
• An acute sensitivity to safety issues in a hazardous environment. 
• Effective communicator at all levels of an organization and with individuals and groups from different disciplines, industries, and governmental agencies. 
• Ability to work self-directed, independently and with a proactive approach. 
• Organized and able to manage multiple projects, resources, and personnel. 
• Computer savvy including, but not limited to: Oracle, Maximo, and Microsoft Office. 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Education and Certifications:  High school diploma required. Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred in relevant field of study such as Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or Accounting.

Experience:  Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a Materials Management or Procurement role, preferably within operations in the LNG or oil and gas industry.  Must have experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, and logistics. Previous experience supervising/managing personnel in an operations environment is also required. 

• Must maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card in good standing status.
• Must be forklift operator certified and shall be able to maintain valid for the support of the warehouse operations under his/her supervision.

FREEDOM TO ACT

The Warehouse Operations Supervisor is a SME in their field and requires minimum supervision/guidance. Must use sound judgment and make good decisions aligned with business needs and Company values.

WORK CONDITIONS

• This position is office-based in Corpus Christie Liquefaction Terminal, Gregory, TX.
• Must be able to board a ship via a gangway, climb to the top of a tank (200+ steps), scale vertical steel ladder up to forty feet or more in height, and lift and move objects weighting up to 50 pounds.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work indoors and outdoors, and exposed to year around weather conditions, ocean environment, noise, and occasionally process gases and vapors.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Subject to drug and alcohol testing, per applicable federal regulations.
• All responsibilities must be met in a call-out environment, including holidays, weekends and nights.
• Occasional travel will be required to Houston office (headquarters) and other LNG Terminal operations, such as Pipeline (CCPL) and Sabine Pass (SPL).
