The opportunity

Are you a passionate student pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree? Do you have a keen interest in power systems and renewable energy? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you! We are looking for an internship in power system analysis and control. Focusing on steady-state control and congestion management in modern power distribution systems, including high shares of renewables, e-mobility and electrified loads. 

How you’ll make an impact

• Literature Review on distribution grid control
• Further development of existing tools for congestion management
• Development of interfaces to modern power system simulation libraries
• Determining suitable grids and test scenarios 
• Documentation and presentation of findings

Your background

• Studying electrical engineering, industrial engineering or related field
• Knowledge of power system steady state analysis
• Knowledge of control and optimization algorithms
• Good programming skills including object-oriented design (Python or another modern programming language)
• Ability to work in a team and have strong team spirit
• Proficiency in spoken and written English is required, and knowledge of German is preferred
