Description
The Hebeler Group of Companies, which includes J. Oskam Steel Fabricators, recently joined the Carrier Process Equipment Group (CPEG), based out of Louisville, Kentucky with locations across the globe. Now referred to as CPEG (or CPEG Oskam internally), our business delivers highly engineered industrial equipment, from modular high-availability systems to bespoke and custom one-off solutions.
With a diverse history approaching 100 years, our suite of products has been built in North America and deployed for use all over the world; from small start-ups to major blue-chip companies. The critical products we supply to our customers have and will continue to enable them to move our world forward by developing more capable products, increasing the efficiency of their processes, and developing new technologies. Our broad expertise allows us to serve several industries with our primary markets including power generation, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, food & agriculture, and waste recovery.
As we integrate teams and systems during this exciting new partnership and transition phase, we are building a stronger organization with expanded resources and opportunities for growth.
At our Port Colborne location, we are currently seeking a full-time Assembly Technician to join our team.
Assembly Technician Job Description:
- Produces components by assembling parts and subassemblies.
- Reads and deciphers schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions.
- Positions or aligns components and parts, either manually or with hoists.
- Uses hand tools or machines to assemble parts.
- Conducts quality control checks.
- Cleans and maintains work area and equipment, including tools.
- Prepares work to be accomplished by studying parts lists and gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
- Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
- Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies.
- Verifies specifications by measuring complete components.
- Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications, notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
