Responsibilities:Prepped metal surfaces for painting by sandblasting to remove rust, scale, and old coatings, ensuring optimal adhesion of new finishesMixed and applied industrial coatings including epoxy, urethane, and zinc-rich primers using airless, HVLP, and conventional spray equipmentInterpreted and followed technical drawings, work orders, and safety data sheets to meet project specifications and coating thickness requirementsMaintained and inspected painting and blasting equipment for proper operation and safety, performing minor repairs and adjustments as neededWorked in confined spaces, at heights, and in various environmental conditions while adhering to strict safety and PPE protocolsRecorded job progress, surface prep details, and paint application data for quality control and client documentation.Overhead crane operationRequirements:High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training preferred2–3 years of experience in industrial painting and sandblastingProficient in airless, HVLP, and conventional spray equipmentSkilled in surface prep techniques including sandblasting and maskingKnowledge of epoxy, urethane, and zinc-rich coatingsAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and safety data sheetsFamiliar with coating thickness standards and measurement toolsStrong understanding of PPE, confined space, and height safety protocolsExperience with overhead crane operationPhysically fit; able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in demanding environmentsWilling to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtimeDetail-oriented with strong documentation and quality control skillsEffective communicator and team player
