SUMMARY

The National Chief Cross-Sell Officer plays a vital role in the growth of our Employee Benefits (EB) and Retirement & Private Wealth (RPW) lines of business. The National Chief Cross-Sell Officer thrives working in an entrepreneurial
environment.

Working closely with US EB and RPW leadership teams, this individual will be spearheading our efforts to drive cross-sell for Employee Benefits and RPW businesses. The role involves collaborating with various regions to develop and implement a comprehensive cross-sell strategy. The Chief Cross-Sell Officer will ensure that each region has the necessary resources and processes in place to succeed. Attention to detail and critical thinking skills are essential for this position. The role will report to the Executive Vice President of US Employee Benefits and Retirement and Private Wealth.


This position also involves managing a team of cross-sell data analysts who collaborate closely with regional cross-sell coordinators. The goal is to enhance producer engagement and collaboration by providing valuable insights into cross sell opportunities. The National Chief Cross-Sell Officer will also be responsible for establishing key performance indicators (KPIs), tracking cross-sell performance, and reporting findings and insights to the EB and RPW leadership teams, Region Presidents and the Executive Management Team (EMT).


 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Cross-Sell Strategy and Execution
Develop and implement a national cross-sell strategy for Employee Benefits (EB) and Retirement and Private Wealth (RPW) businesses in collaboration with both national and regional teams.

Collaborating with Stakeholders
Build strong relationships with Region Presidents, Chief Sales Officers (CSOs), Producers, and Client Services Teams to help them achieve their cross-sell targets. Work closely with marketing and sales operations to create targeted marketing campaigns and sales initiatives that align with overall business objectives. Act as the central liaison between the Employee Benefits and RPW teams to foster collaboration and communication.


Leading Team
Directly manage a team of data analysts. Work with regional cross-sell team to track and manage cross-sell pipelines and drive producer engagement

Monitor Performance
Continuously monitor the performance of cross-sell initiatives, tracking key metrics such as pipeline velocity, win rates, and revenue impact. Analyze data and insights to identify opportunities for optimization and refinement of
cross-selling initiatives.


Ensure regions consistently meet cross-sell revenue targets.

Identify areas of under-performance and work with regional teams to implement performance improvement plans.

Market Analysis
Stay informed about industry trends, competitive offerings and internal M&A efforts to continuously improve our cross-selling strategy and identify new opportunities/solutions to cross-sell.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 10 years of industry experience, with at least 5 years of experience in the Sales Enablement and/or Sales Operations.
  • Ability to analyze sales data, market trends, and customer insights to inform strategy and drive decision-making.
  • Experience cross-selling and collaborating with various lines of business
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in leveraging technology and sales tools to improve efficiency and achieve sales objectives.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, multi-tasking, and organizational skills required
  • Ability to articulate value propositions to key stakeholders
  • Strong leadership, mentorship, and team-building skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt well to change

Disclosure required under applicable law in California, Colorado, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York, New Jersey, and Washington states: The expected salary range for this position is $170,000 to $235,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
