PreSchool Teacher's Aide at Chapman Elementary School

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic PreSchool Teacher's Aide to join our Chapman Elementary School team. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the classroom environment, fostering young children's learning and development. As a PreSchool Teacher's Aide, you will assist the Teacher in the daily operations of the classroom, helping to create a nurturing and stimulating environment that encourages curiosity and exploration among preschool-aged children. Responsibilities

  • Assist the lead teacher in implementing daily lesson plans and activities.
  • Support children in their social and emotional development and manage classroom behavior effectively.
  • Provide one-on-one support for children with specific needs under the guidance of the lead teacher.
  • Supervise children during classroom activities, playtime, and transitions to ensure their safety.
  • Encourage children's participation in hands-on learning experiences and activities.
  • Prepare classroom materials and supplies as directed by the teacher.
  • Communicate with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and activities when appropriate.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
  • Previous experience working with preschool-aged children in an educational setting preferred.
  • Strong understanding of early childhood development and learning principles.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for children.
