Overview:

Provides underwriting technical support to new business underwriters.  Main responsibilities include assisting with new business file preparation, endorsement requests, follow up with agents, binding process, and miscellaneous tasks.  Maintains a solid understanding of AmTrust’s mission, vision, and values. Upholds the standards of the AmTrust organization.

Responsibilities:
  • New business file prep
  • Provide instruction to processing department for endorsement requests
  • Fulfill brokers requests for, loss runs, copies of policies, copies of invoicing, etc.
  • Agency support of general questions regarding new business status, endorsement status, cancellation status, billing inquiries, commission questions, etc.)
  • Performs other functionally related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Entry Level Underwriting Assistant that will support Workers' Compensation Underwriters 
  • High School Graduate or GED as minimum education requirements.
  • Proven research and analytical skills to identify, gather and organize information to provide recommendations
  • Must be able to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced atmosphere
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and One Note)
  • Ability to learn new software applications
  • Some college preferred.
