Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Diploma or Technical Certificate in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in a similar role, in a 5-star resort or environment
• Strong knowledge of Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing and HVAC systems related to kitchen and laundry equipment
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, circuit drawings, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
• Familiarity with HACCP standards and hotel safety protocol is an advantage
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
• Working flexible hours, including weekends and holidays is part of the job
Physical Requirement:
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces.
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
Duties:
• Inspect, maintain, and repair all kitchen and laundry equipment including but not limited to ovens, steamers, fryers, walk-in chillers/freezers, dishwashers, washing machines, dryers, and ironing machines.
• Perform Scheduled Preventive maintenance on kitchen and Laundry equipment to avoid downtime and service disruptions
• Respond to maintenance requests and equipment breakdowns promptly and efficiently.
• Work closely with the culinary and housekeeping teams to identify recurring issues and ensure proper equipment functionality.
• Ensure all equipment complies with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair work.
• Collaborate with external contractors when specialized services are required
• Recommend equipment upgrades or replacements when necessary
• Monitor inventory of spare parts and tools, and report purchasing needs to the Engineering Coordinator/Asst, Chief Engineer.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and actively participate in safety and environmental program.
• Any other duties assigned by the manager or supervisor.
