A welcoming family based in Mont-sur-Rolle, Vaud, is looking for an experienced and independent Live-in Housekeeper to take care of the household and ensure the home is kept clean, organised and well maintained.

The family has two young children and a dog. Childcare is not the main responsibility of the position; occasional assistance with the children may be requested when needed.

The successful candidate should be autonomous, organised and comfortable managing a household independently. The family is looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has good attention to detail and can anticipate the household's needs.

Main responsibilities

Housekeeping

• General cleaning and maintenance of the family home
• Dusting, vacuuming and mopping
• Cleaning bathrooms and bedrooms
• Keeping living areas neat, clean and organised
• Changing and making beds
• Laundry, ironing and folding clothes and household linen
• Organising wardrobes and household items when needed
• Ensuring the home is maintained to a high standard on a daily basis

Cooking & household support

• Preparing fresh, home-cooked family meals
• Planning and organising meals according to the family's preferences
• Preparing simple lunches and dinners
• Keeping the kitchen clean and organised after cooking
• Managing groceries and putting away food deliveries
• Knowing how to properly set the table and prepare the dining area for family meals
• Ensuring household supplies are well stocked and informing the family when something needs to be purchased

Occasional support

• Occasional assistance with the children when required, although childcare is not a core responsibility
• Helping with the family dog when needed
• Running occasional household errands

Requirements

• Previous professional experience as a Housekeeper in a private household
• Checkable references
• Good housekeeping and laundry skills
• Confident cooking skills
• Knowledge of table setting and household service
• Valid driving licence
• Ability to communicate in French, English or Spanish
• Professional references
• Right to work in Switzerland
