A Powder Coating Applicator is responsible for applying powder coating materials onto various surfaces to provide a durable and protective finish. Location/Schedule: Byron, GA / 2nd Shift
Requirements
What You’ll Do:
- Prepare surfaces for powder coating, including cleaning, sanding, masking, and inspection.
- Apply powder coating materials using spray guns or other approved application methods.
- Ensure even coating coverage and smooth, consistent finishes.
- Operate curing ovens to properly set and cure coated parts.
- Inspect finished products for quality, defects, and compliance with specifications.
- Perform touch-ups or rework as required to meet quality standards.
- Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
- Perform routine cleaning and basic preventative maintenance on powder coating equipment.
- Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and report malfunctions requiring repair.
- Complete required production, quality, and maintenance documentation accurately.
- Follow ISO requirements, quality policies, safety procedures, and work instructions.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Assist with other manufacturing tasks as assigned to support production needs.
Who You Are:
- Previous experience in powder coating application or a related manufacturing role preferred.
- Working knowledge of powder coating materials, equipment, and application techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret basic technical drawings or specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Willingness to follow safety protocols and wear required protective equipment.
