The IT Support Technician provides first-line technical assistance to employees, ensuring smooth operation of hardware, software, and network systems. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals eager to learn and grow in IT support while delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
Act as the first point of contact for IT-related issues via phone, email, and in-person.
Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity problems.
Assist with user account management, password resets, and access control.
Perform routine system updates, backups, and maintenance tasks.
Document technical issues and solutions in the IT knowledge base.
Support IT projects, including system upgrades and deployments.
Ensure compliance with security protocols and data privacy standards.
Qualifications
Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
1+ years of experience in technical support or help desk role.
Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and common business applications.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
CompTIA A+ or similar entry-level IT certification.
Experience with help desk ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Zendesk).
Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
Familiarity with cloud-based telephony platforms (such as RingCentral)
