Assistant Manager – Tastes Great Inc.

We're Not Looking for a Manager. We're Looking for a Leader.

We have been serving our community since 1972, and we're searching for an Assistant Manager who understands that great restaurants are built on hospitality, accountability, teamwork, and leading by example.

This position is not for someone looking to sit in an office, delegate responsibilities, or simply "run a shift." We are looking for someone who takes ownership, notices what needs to be done without being asked, and isn't afraid to jump in wherever the business needs them.

  • Helps a server run food when the dining room gets busy.
  • Clears tables if guests are waiting.
  • Checks on guests before they complain.

  • Leads from the floor, not from behind a desk.

What You'll Be Responsible For

  • Leading daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts
  • Ensuring exceptional guest experiences and immediate resolution of guest concerns
  • Coaching and developing servers, hosts, bussers, and support staff
  • Maintaining cleanliness, organization, and operational standards throughout the restaurant
  • Monitoring labor, sales, productivity, and service standards
  • Completing all opening and closing procedures accurately and consistently
  • Managing waitlists, guest flow, and dining room efficiency
  • Supporting catering, takeout, and special events operations
  • Conducting line checks and ensuring food quality standards are met
  • Holding team members accountable while maintaining a positive culture
  • Creating an environment where employees feel valued, respected, and motivated

Experience

  • Previous restaurant management experience required
  • High-volume restaurant experience preferred
  • Experience leading teams of 20+ employees preferred
  • Knowledge of labor management, guest service, scheduling, and restaurant operations
