WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

You’ll be the testing point person for prioritized footwear projects and working with Nike’s Running & ACG Product Creation teams to test new innovative footwear. You’ll also work with athletes to gain a better understanding of their needs and to capture their feedback on the models they are testing.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a Footwear Product Testing (FPT) Senior Analyst to join our team in Beaverton Oregon at the Philip H Knight Campus . This role ensures that our Running & ACG Footwear fits and performs up to the highest standards in the industry. The candidate will need strong interpersonal skills focused on developing tester relationships. The candidate also needs to have exceptional planning and organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple projects. They will need to be able to analyze data and present subjective feedback in a concise and understandable manner. An entrepreneurial spirit and competitive mindset are a plus because working in FPT is akin to starting and running your own business.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Consumer Science, Exercise Science, or a related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, and training.

  • 5 years' experience in a professional working environment; experience in the footwear, product testing, development, marketing, engineering, retail, relationship management, sports, sales, and/or customer service industry is preferred.

  • Experience working with athletes, knowledge of the Running landscape in the United States, and proven ability to foster authentic relationships.

  • Ability to physically lift and carry items weighing 20 pounds.

  • Ability to travel up to 10% per year, domestically and internationally.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

In this role you’ll be managing all aspects of the testing process, including but not limited to; test planning, recruiting testers, conducting tests, analyzing data, report writing, and program/relationship management. You’ll use your understanding of footwear’s manufacturing processes combined with your understanding of the athlete to offer suggestions to the product team regarding materials, components, and construction options to meet the product’s performance goals. You’ll specify the performance issues that need attention prior to production by representing the Voice of the Athlete* and our consumers.

  • You will collaborate with a cross functional product team inclusive of marketing, development, engineering, and design to create comprehensive testing plans.

  • You will work in a fast-paced environment where you will manage ambiguity and multiple projects across various timelines.

  • You will utilize your experience with Microsoft Office programs and familiarity with statistical analysis procedures to identify trends.

  • You will utilize strong verbal and written communication skills to influence product excellence decisions at the product team and footwear leadership level.

  • Your connection to the athlete, passion for product, and optimistic mindset will drive the culture we want to embody as one team.
