📍 Newark, DE
🕒 Full-Time | Primarily Monday-Friday, 8:30AM-4:30PM

About the Role
Impact Life is seeking a passionate and experienced IOP Counselor to join our Social Prescribing & Primary Care team in Newark, DE. This role is ideal for a strong group facilitator who is committed to supporting individuals navigating substance use and co-occurring mental health challenges through compassionate, person-centered care.
The IOP Counselor will lead Intensive Outpatient Programming (IOP) groups, provide individual support and care coordination, and collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver integrated behavioral health services.
What You’ll Do
- Facilitate two IOP group sessions per day, three days per week
- Develop and deliver engaging, evidence-informed group curriculum including CBT, DBT, MI, relapse prevention, and psychoeducation
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and trauma-informed group environment
- Provide individual check-ins and support client engagement and treatment planning
- Complete clinical documentation and treatment records in a timely manner
- Collaborate with clinical, medical, and social prescribing teams to coordinate whole-person care
- Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and program development
- Support a harm reduction and low-barrier approach to care
- Assist with intakes, screenings, and interdisciplinary care coordination as needed
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field required
- CADC required
- Master’s degree and clinical licensure (LPCMH, LCSW, etc.) preferred
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of behavioral health experience
- At least 3 years of substance use/addictions treatment experience
- Minimum 3 years of group facilitation experience, preferably in an IOP setting
- Experience working with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders
