We are looking for a motivated Application Security Engineer to join Beghou’s software development team. This role is ideal for candidates who are interested in application security, Python programming, and building secure software systems.

As part of the team, you will learn how to develop and maintain security tools, integrate security checks into CI/CD pipelines, and identify vulnerabilities in web applications. You will work closely with experienced engineers, gain hands-on exposure to industry-standard security tools, and continuously build your knowledge in application security through research and practical implementation.

We'll trust you to

  • Build, automate and maintain custom security tools
  • Implement security scanning in Github CI/CD
  • Implement third party tools
  • Continuously expand body of knowledge via research (keep up to date with recent news in Application Security)
  • Identify the issues, and provide solutions to mitigate and address these issues
  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation
  • Comply with corporate quality policies and procedures
  • Ensure all training requirements are completed in a timely manner

You'll need to have

 

  • Strong understanding of different application security vulnerabilities and how to find them, security tools (specifically related Python libraries and open source tools such as OWASP ZAP), pen testing, understanding severities, and remediation steps.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and the ability to learn and work with necessary Python libraries.
  • Strong understanding of web application architecture.
  • Familiarity with prompt engineering and AI integration.
  • Familiarity with code versioning tools such as GIT, and implementing security scanning in CI/CD.
  • Experience: 0 - 1 year

  • Fluency in English is required (spoken and written)
